About Givio Charitable Foundation

Givio Charitable Foundation is a 501c3 public foundation (EIN 47-3955325).

Our mission is to lift up underserved communities and ecosystems by empowering both givers and nonprofits alike — no matter how small — with the resources they need to achieve their goals and make positive change.

Through technology like easy-to-use, donor-centric giving platforms, training in fundraising strategy and best practices, and connection to community and other related resources, Givio Charitable Foundation will help nonprofits survive, grow and provide essential services to communities and ecosystems in need.

Our History

Givio Charitable Foundation was founded in 2015 by Gena Rotstein and a team of innovative philanthropists committed to using technology to empower better giving. Founded as Place2Give Foundation – US, the foundation partnered with a sister organization in Canada to facilitate cross-border fundraising, grant management and community development. Place2Give also offered donor-advised fund services to its donors.

In 2020, the foundation changed its name to Givio Charitable Foundation, and dedicated itself to an expanded mission and program offering intended to strengthen the cycle of charitable giving. In so doing, the board wanted to focus on the future of giving, and the opportunities that should be afforded to every potential donor and nonprofit in a new economy where technology facilitates an inter-connectedness that encourages collaboration, resource-pooling and problem solving.

The 2020 Givio Charitable Foundation board is looking for new members who share our passion and focus on the future of giving. And we are forever grateful to Gena and her founding team for launching this inspired organization.
